3 SHADES OF NAVY + dark auburn hair

Within 2 weeks' time, I've gone from platinum blond to dark auburn (funny, it looks lighter in these photos than in real life...) The transition is quite a process, but getting there: two color appointments so far, and probably one more in a couple of weeks, as dark color lifts a lot on previously-bleached hair. After that, it should just be regular maintenance. Whew!

I've shocked a few people around here, as they barely recognize me, and think I'm a bit of an anomaly anyway! But I've gotten many compliments from friends- thanks, y'all! I've never had darker hair before and I'm quite enjoying it.

About the outfit: This dress turned out to be much better as a skirt. Found it at Bloomingdale's. What attracted me was its two-toned hue. I added the navy shirt for "3-dimensional color".

Photos taken downstairs...Isn't that wall texture odd? The bugs certainly like it!

Shirt- J. Crew
Dress worn as skirt- Theory
Black pumps- Christian Louboutin
Silver belt worn as necklace- Cache'
Jet beaded choker- unknown
Pearl choker- 1928

Click on above image to view whole photo...now I can't get the photos to upload smaller.

In the studio, which doubles as my workspace and closets (Caribbean homes never have adequate storage)...

Happy weekend, everyone!
xoxo

I love the classic feel of this outfit. You look like you stepped out of a fifties photo! And I thinknavy is such a nice versatile colour.
I like the jewellery too here, makes th outfit more unique. And brown hair suits you!

Lovely outfit!
The decorative object on the wall looks wonderful behind you on that first picture; I like it looks like it's part of your dress.

Oh, wow, Stephanie, you look GORGEOUS!!!!

I've been feeling so guilty, I haven't really been visiting anyone's blogs (or not nearly enough lately) and what a wonderful surprise to come here to say hi before shutting this baby down, and there you are... a gorgeous brunette!

If I do say so myself: I think this colour suits you beautifully. And I love it with three shades of navy. (but I would say that: I'm a brunette & love navy, in every shade until it's midnight blue/black). Gorgeous outfit, lovely post - and nice BIG photos!!

Thank you for your sweet, sweet photos. Away @ the in-laws in deepest Herefordshire for the weekend but soon as Monday comes, let's skype!!
