My current everyday makeup...very minimal. I use waterproof and long-wearing products to address concerns in a warm, humid climate. Removal is easy with grapeseed oil.
Chanel Inimitable Waterproof mascara in Noir, Stylo Yeux Waterproof eyeliner in Espresso (black has proven too harsh), Rouge Allure Velvet lip colour #37 (my new "red").
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original prevents mascara and eyeliner transfer.
MAC Prep + Prime prevents lipstick from feathering.
Per-fekt Eye Perfection Gel in Bright for reducing darkness under eyes and Skin Perfection Gel in Luminous to smooth pores and unevenness of skin tone between dermatology treatments.
For me to use, repurchase and recommend a product, it has to be the best of its kind that I've tried. No room for mediocrity.

very tempted to try that lipstick!
Love Urban Decay.
Ooo, ooh - coveting time again for me! However, this time am also going to look up that lipstick and the prep and prime too. I'm also pretty minimal when it comes to make up but I have been unable to find a really good red lipstick. Perhaps this is the one?
Oooh, too! ; )
My first emotional response to this post (can one be emotional about a make-up post) was envy. And I'm not an envious person! But it was this thought of 'I wish I could be minimal!!' haha.
The thing is, I really don't wear make up. At all. I keep forgetting to put on mascara - or I can't find it - and the one thing I'll wear, a throw back to the 80s, is blue kohl below my eyes. And rose scented lip gloss.
But i'm such a packaging freak, that I just wish I had a neat handbag, with Chanel products in it. I COULD do that: and damn it, I think I will.
But I can't wear red lipstick. I just can't, it ages me, it doesn't work, I feel wrong.. my skin tone is too dark or something. But it looks gorgeous on you. And I bet, Rosalind, too!
Don't worry about me - same with me, sweet pea - irons in the fire ; ) xoxoxox
I have the same Chanel mascara, but in brown. I bought it after secretly trying the black version of my boyfriend's mother - it's such a great brush!
i should clarify that chanel velvet lipstick #37 not actually red (i've been wearing it instead of true red). it's fuchsia with a hint of rosy warmth. really lovely hue. would work with most skin tones.
polka dot,
i'm a sucker for nice packaging and presentation too. in fact, i don't really like the per-fekt packaging; however, the products are so good that i can deal with it.
Love the lip colour!

Less is more!
Do you use a specific foundation? I'm on the hunt for a new one and not sure what to try. That Chanel lipstick looks perfect and not too red.
Lucinda,
On the rare occasion that a foundation is needed, I use Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in specific areas, almost as one would a concealer. It's an excellent product.
I didn't feature it here since I so seldom use a foundation - the color I have is BR10.
Great choices. Because of the hard time removing, I avoid waterproof cosmetics at every cost. Must try the grapeseed oil. Tanks for sharing!
ggshoe,
Grapeseed oil will do the trick. Trust me. :)
